Five courses for beginners and top players

With five different courses, the Hotel & Sportresort Fleesensee offers a unique golfing experience right on the hotel's doorstep. Two short 9-hole courses are always inviting for a quick round and are also ideal for beginners with no previous experience. If you already have your handicap, a short par-67 course with lots of water hazards awaits you. Or, if you are an experienced player, you can explore the resort's two large 18-hole courses, where even the real pros will find plenty of challenges. All courses are prepared to tournament quality.

Golf school and one of the largest practice areas in the world

You will hardly find a more beautiful place in Germany that offers you such opportunities to get to know the sport of golf or to hone your technique and handicap. A huge driving range with covered teeing grounds and floodlights is open to you at all times, where you can practise your swing even in bad weather. The Hotel & Sportresort Fleesensee is located in a natural landscape that is unique in Germany. The resort is located in the Mecklenburg Lake District and is therefore surrounded by countless interconnected bodies of water that are ideal for sailing, canoeing and other water sports. The lakes and canals are bordered by forests, meadows and fields. Many hiking and cycling trails lead through here, and the old avenue roads can still be found and comfortably traveled. The nearby island town of Malchow and the somewhat larger Waren/Müritz are ideal for day trips. The Hanseatic city of Rostock - the economic center of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with its old town, shopping opportunities and the Baltic Sea beach - is also around 45 minutes away by car.

Despite its idyllic location, the Hotel & Sportresort Fleesensee is very well connected in terms of infrastructure. It is just a ten-minute drive from the BAB19. Guests from the Hamburg area can reach the resort in less than two hours. Guests from Berlin can even reach their destination in one and a half hours. Rostock-Laage Airport is just 40 kilometers away and offers scheduled connections from Munich, Stuttgart and Zurich, among others. The resort can also be reached by train via the train station in Waren/Müritz. Resort guests arriving by plane or train are offered a shuttle on request.

There are 4 indoor tennis courts with tournament surfaces and 7 outdoor courts with clay and artificial turf in the immediate vicinity of the golf courses. There are also two squash courts for those who like it a little faster. The tennis facility at the Hotel & Sportresort Fleesensee is the largest in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. A paradise for water sports enthusiasts

Lake Fleesensee is an ideal spot for learning to windsurf or sail, with a standing depth of 300 meters from the shore. The shallow bay is so ideal because the shallow water means that no motorboats can pass through. Temperatures of 28°C have been measured here in warm summers. The seabed is sandy, as on the Baltic Sea, and the water is clear and clean, as in the entire lake district. Children can swim safely, learning to windsurf is twice as fast and it is not strenuous because you can still stand up after falling into the water. The children's sailing courses can take place in shallow water. Courses take place every day during the summer vacations: Basic courses start twice a week with the completion of an internationally valid surfing or sailing license. The courses start from the age of 7 as children's sailing courses in the Opti, from the age of 10 you can learn windsurfing and from the age of 12 catamaran sailing. Windsurfing and catamaran sailing are of course also available for adults. You can learn to sail or windsurf in 3-hour sessions over 3 days. Swim eye to eye with a shoal of vendace in the Müritz, go on an exciting journey back to the Ice Age and fly over the Mecklenburg Lake District with the cranes - in the Müritzeum you can experience Germany's largest inland lake landscape up close.

Müritz Bear Sanctuary

Brown bears in Germany? They've been extinct for a long time! However, the fact that numerous brown bears throughout Europe, including in German amusement parks, circuses and even in private husbandry, live a bleak existence on concrete and behind bars, usually remains hidden. The animal welfare organization FOUR PAWS has made it its mission to help these animals. With the establishment of the BÄRENWALD Müritz at the southern tip of the beautiful Lake Plau, a 16-hectare open-air enclosure with mixed forest, meadows and natural flowing water was created. BÄRENWALD Müritz is open to visitors all year round. A hiking trail leads through the forest; during a two-hour tour, the brown bears can be observed in their natural environment.

The "big red one" travels at a leisurely 30 - 40 km/h around Lake Plau. So take a seat and find out about the individual stops and their sights as well as all the excursion destinations. You can get on and off at each stop, so you can decide for yourself if, when and where you want to get off to take in one or two attractions. But you can also experience nature up close on our bus, as Lake Plau has a variety of landscapes and animals to offer. Many of the products used come from the resort's own farm. As part of the ORGANIC project, more than 20 types of fruit and vegetables are grown on the premises; fresh eggs are supplied by the South American Araucana chickens that have been specially introduced to the resort.
