Märkischer Golf Club Potsdam

Märkischer Golfclub Potsdam is the golfing gem just outside Berlin, not far from the Brandenburg state capital of Potsdam, in the Phöben district of Werder an der Havel. Affectionately known by its members as "Der Märkische", the Märkische is one of the most beautiful golf courses in Berlin-Brandenburg. The three golf courses (18-hole Fontane Course, 9-hole Lenné Course, Family Course short course) offer challenges and enjoyment for golfers of all abilities. The heart of the MGC is the 18-hole championship course, which was completed in the summer of 1995 according to plans by golf course architect Christoph Städler on an area of around 70 hectares and was named after the German writer Heinrich Theodor Fontane. 380 meters in diameter, the Golfodrom, one of the most modern training facilities in Europe, can be played from 200 teeing grounds in a circle towards the middle. In bad weather, two huts with a total of 18 teeing grounds are available. Three putting greens of different sizes are available on the course.
