'This is an excellent hotel, great facilities, very well presented and a great place to stay. We stayed for a weekend using Amex FHR and availed of the early checking, late checkout and superb breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed just after Easter and there were live chicks in a cage in the main reception - very good for kids and a nice touch to make the place feel more homely. The setting by the river is lovely - we had an upgrade to a river view room and the view was very nice, river and golf course. The room was very plush with nice fruit in a bowl plus a coffee machine and some snacks. The bathroom a large with bath and shower and very nice toiletries. The restaurant is used for breakfast and dinner and we found both to be excellent. Breakfast is either table service or buffet style - whatever suits you better. Dinner was expensive but the food is of the highest quality. The extensive grounds are great for walking around if that’s your thing, with paved paths and gravel forest trails. Overall a great stay and we’d love to return.'
