SGC Weekly News w/c 15th July:
This week's Sidmouth Jewellers Friday Stableford was won by Mark Bathard with a solid 40 points from Jon Evans 39 and Andy Griffiths 36.
Despite the Vallance Cup being postponed due to poor weather on Saturday, the Married Couples competition Sunday went ahead, producing some great golf. Gerri and Paul Whitrow blasted their way to victory with a massive 48 points from, in second place Ian Philips and Xiang Zhang on 43.& Bob & Marian Andrews in third..
Division 1 winner of Monday's Upper Crust Stableford with 39 points was Michael Knight on countback from John Spiller-Jones with John Dunn in third with 38. In Division 2, Bob Reynolds won with 40 from Ken Mylne and Rob Owen took the Seniors prize with a tremendous 43.
