Ross Henderson tops the leaderboard after round 1
In extremely windy conditions only 5 players broke par and it was Ross Henderson who went lowest of all with a fantastic 65 (86-21). Not far behind is Callum Todd with a 67 (80-13). Dougie Saunders (76-8) and Kevin Brunton (75-7) are a further shot behind on 68. The only other player to break par was John Daniel Brett with a 70 (85-15).
Ross made his score on the back 9 coming home in 29 strokes. He had 6 nett birdies in the last 7 holes. Callum takes second spot having played steady golf until the last 3 holes which he completed in a nett 4 under par, thanks to a 2 nett 1 on the 16th. Dougie takes 3rd spot from Kevin due to a better back 9 of 32, beating Kevin by 2 shots. Kevin had a fantastic 5 birdies in his round but it wasn’t enough as Dougie just pipped him having 3 birdies of his own.

Eight players had 2’s at the 15th each winning £10.10.
