Gary Sneddon secures leading qualifier with a net score of 65.
Latest Kirk Rosebowl saw a field of 112 players trying to book their place in the final. In the Division One competition Lindsay Steele took the honours with a gross 75 which gave a net 68 and claim a single shot margin over Steven Johnston with a gross 75 for net 69. Lindsay was out in 37 and came back in 38 which included 5 net birdies.
In Division 2, David James took top spot with a gross 79 giving a net score of 67 beating Dean Brown into second place by a single shot margin. Dean with a gross 76 for net score of 68. David went out in gross 39 and returned in 40 with birdies at holes 9, 12 & 17. Dean out in gross 36 and returning in 40 with birdies at holes 3, 9 & 11.
In Division 3, Gary Sneddon was leading qualifier and won first place with a net 65 which edged out Ray Stevens on the countback. Gary went out in gross 42 and returned in 42 with 9 net birdies helping the card. Ray was out in gross 43 before returning in 44 shots with 7 net birdies on the card. Seven players birdied the 15th hole. Congratulations to Stewart McKay, Alan Mark, Russell Rennie, Steven Starritt, Stewart Linford, John Jinky Johnston and William Bill McKenna each collecting £12.23 in the “Two’s” sweep. Mark Millar also recorded a 2 at hole 15 but did not enter the sweep.
