Exciting August Events at Sidmouth Golf Club

An excellent Potburys Trophy on Saturday! The winners were Michael Knight and Steven Crabb with an outstanding 51 stableford points. Lots of other scores of above 40 points (par).
We also had an outstanding score of nett 57 in the Veterans Cup on Monday with Ian Phillips winning. Again a number of other excellent scores below par.
Anyway, looking forward to August:
This Saturday and Sunday 3rd/4th August is the Molyneux Financial Planning Medal for men off white tees, no handicap limit.
Saturday 10th August is the Northcotts Classic. This is a club-wide competition for mens, ladies and mixed pairs. It is a betterball stableford competition played off the white and red tees. Max handicaps of 28.4 and 36.4 (although you can play off those handicaps if you are higher than that)
Saturday 17th August is the Grandfathers Cup for those who “are or are considered to be” a grandfather. It's a stableford off white tees and maximum handicaps apply as with the Northcotts.
Sunday 18th August is the Club Championships for the Scratch and Handicap Trophies over 36 holes. You can play in both competitions or just one. The Handicap trophy is max handicap of 28.4. Book your first round on BRS and the second round is blocked out approx 4.5 hours later.
Saturday 31st August will be a special event, Club Chairman's Day. Neil Faulkner invites you play in his pairs betterball stableford for teams of men and ladies. The objective is to raise funds towards purchasing a launch monitor for the club and we hope everyone will make every effort to support him. Now bookable on BRS.
