As we celebrate #WomensGolfMonth and ten weeks out from the return of the AIG Women’s Open to St Andrews, we’re taking a moment to appreciate this fantastic photo capturing the St Andrews Ladies' Golf Club Jubilee Challenge Vase from August 1890.
While we unfortunately don't know the names of these women, we can see they are fully concentrated on the game, as a young man in a kilt and a gallery of spectators watch on - all in their best summer attire with a collection of caps, hats and parasols.
