Tournament information - Irish Open 2022 - European Tour
After the BMW International Open, the DP World Tour (formerly European Tour) leaves mainland Europe and enters the intensive phase in preparation for the British Open. The Irish Open is the first of two consecutive tournaments on the "Emerald Isle". At the Mount Juliet Estate, the golfers compete for the handsome prize money totalling six million dollars and 6,000 points for the DP World Tour Ranking. For comparison: In Munich, there was two million euros in prize money and 2,750 points for the season ranking.
The Irish Open in the season 2022 is being played in Thomastown, Co Kilkenny, Irland at the Mount Juliet Estate. The tournament starts at the Thursday, 30th of June and ends at the Sunday, 3rd of July 2022.
