Description
The North Golf Course is the result of a collaboration between two architects. William Mitchell designed holes 1 to 5 and 15 to 18 in 1974 and, like the holes on the other course, gave them their very own, unmistakable character. The terrain is typical of the area: sandy soil with heather, broom, wildflowers and the occasional pine tree. The North American Joseph Lee, together with his fellow countryman Rocky Roquemore, took on the design of holes 6 to 14 and completed the course, which was inaugurated in 1989. The terrain is sandy and densely covered with pine trees. In spring, the rough is overgrown with a beautiful carpet of wildflowers. The greens are planted with Penn Bent turf, which provides excellent putting conditions all year round. Hybrid Bermuda 419 is used on the fairways and tees, guaranteeing optimum playing conditions all year round.
