Narin & Portnoo Golf Club is located in a beautiful coastal village in the south west of County Donegal, 10 km from Glenties. It is considered one of the most scenic 18-hole links courses in Ireland and offers impressive views of Gweebarra Bay. Another golf course (designed by Harry Hamill of Royal Portrush) was established on the same site in 1905, but closed in 1919. Opened in 1930, Narin & Portnoo Golf Club is engagingly old-fashioned, with holes winding over and around dunes. Recent renovations have raised the par of the course to 73 and the terrain now requires a wider range of shots.
