In the world of professional golf, the action over the weekend focused on the Hero Indian Open, an event on the European Tour. The tournament took place at DLF Golf & Country Club, in Gurugram, Haryana, India. The fourth round of the tournament brought a mix of low scoring and steady play.

After the dust settled, it was Keita Nakajima from Japan who finished first on the leaderboard with a total score of -17, followed closely by Veer Ahlawat of India, Sebastian Söderberg from Sweden, and Johannes Veerman from the USA all tied for second place with a total score of -13. The position of T5 concluded with Gavin Green from Malaysia, Romain Langasque from France, Matteo Manassero from Italy and Jeong weon Ko from France tied at a total score of -12.

The day, however, turned out to be exceptional for a few players, too. The daily score leader was Sebastian Söderberg and Johannes Veerman, both shooting -5 for the day. The third-best daily score was bagged by Jeff Winther from Denmark, recording -4 for round 4.

Competing for a prize fund of US$2,250,000, the golfers showcased their skills, resulting in some impressive plays and jaw-dropping Hero Indian Open Highlights. While these figures convey part of the action, the European Tour Highlights video captures the most memorable moments of the round, from perfectly calculated swings to nail-biting putts.

With the fourth round coming to a close, the players wrapped up another engaging week of golf on the European Tour. As customary in professional golf, the tournament concluded after the fourth round, amassing a mix of challenges, triumphs, and memorable moments for both players and golf enthusiasts.

While the player’s performance is the biggest factor in the outcome of the tournament, the course’s condition, weather and the skill level of the competition also play a significant part. All these features combine to make the European Tour an engaging and unpredictable spectacle.

About the European Tour

The DP World Tour (formerly the European Tour) is the largest European professional golf tour. With 45 events, the tour’s tournament calendar is packed with highlights. In addition to the majors, the DP World Tour organizes other co-sanctioned events with the PGA Tour. The European tour is also a guest in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, hosting at least one tournament in a total of 25 countries. The prize money on the DP World Tour is lower than on its American sister tour, but with the basic salary introduced in 2023, players who have played at least 15 tournaments will receive at least 150,000 dollars. The season finale of the overall earnings ranking, the “Race to Dubai“, will be held in a play-off format after five “Global Swings” and the “Back 9”. The final DP World Tour Championship will determine the winner of the season in Dubai in November.
