Bernd Wiesberg started the defense of his title from 2019 in style and after rounds of 66 and 65 leads the way before the third round of the 2021 Made in HimmerLand presented by FREJA. Not all big name in the tournament were so fortunate and we won't see some notable names during the weekend. Let's start with...
Rasmus Hojgaard

Rasmus Hojgaard is the highest ranked Danish golfer in the world. The young Dane started the week as world number 100 and he carried the local hopes for a win. He climbed within the top 100 on the planet thanks to his solid results on the European Tour. Hojgaard played 30 tournaments on tour and won two titles, not bad for a 20 years old golf professional. The Dane is at level par after rounds of 72 and 70, which was not enough to pass the cut line which was set at two under par.

World number 94 Aaron Rai arrived in HimmerLand as one of the favorites for the win. The Englishman, who claimed his maiden Rolex Series title in October at the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open, played the course at two under par today. As a result the two-time EuropeanTour winner climbed to one under for the tournament, just a shot below the cut line.
Joachim B. Hansen

Joachim B. Hansen is another local hero who disappointed this week. Hansen has two top 10's in his last five starts and nobody was expecting him to open the tournament with 76. The Dane improved his game today and played the course at level par, but this was enough only for shared 137th place on the leaderboard.
