PGA Tour: Five things to know about Liberty National Golf Club

1. Liberty National Golf Club was designed by Robert E. Cupp and the 1992 U.S Open champion Tom Kite

2. It opened in 2006 and cost about $300 million dollars. The course might be very young, but it already has a pretty rich history on the PGA Tour. Liberty National Golf Club has hosted some very big tournaments including The Barclays in 2009 & 2013, The Northern Trust in 2019 & 2021 and the 2017 Presidents Cup.

3. The course has par 72 and it is measured at 7,387 yards (6,755 m)

4. According to the reports, a Liberty National membership costs an initial $450,000, with annual dues of $25,000. Cristie Kerr and Phil Mickelson are only some of the names on the impressive list with members of the private club.

5. The land under the golf course had been home of a World War I ammunition dump and storage for corroded oil tanks.
