The Memorial Tournament is one of the most popular PGA Tour tournaments among players and fans. It always attract the best players in the world and this year makes no difference. This week we will see in action seven from the best ten golfers on the planet and several major champions like Shane Lowry, Adam Scott, Louis Oosthuizen and Bubba Watson.

Jon Rahm

The defending champion Jon Rahm took a week off after the PGA Championship where he finished tied for eight. The Spaniard, who posted four top 10s finishes in his last six starts, will be eager to become the first player since Tiger Woods in 2001 to successfully defend his title at Muirfield Village Golf Club. With a win on Sunday Rahm could climb to second in the world

World number four Bryson DeChambeau knows what it is needed to win at Muirfield Village Golf Club. He claimed the title in the tournament in 2018 after a playoff with An Byeong-hun and Kyle Stanley. Like Rahm, with a win this week DeChambeau could climb to second in the world.
Rory McIlroy

When Rory McIlroy is in the field, he is always considered as a favorite. The four-time major winner was off since the PGA Championship where he had a disappointing week. McIlroy finished tied for 49th at the Kiawah Island and no doubt he will try to feed his ego with a solid performance this week. He knows Muirfield Village Golf Club pretty well where he has five top 15s finishes.

It is hard to believe that Louis Oosthuizen has not won on American soil yet. The 2010 Open champion is T8-T2 in his last two starts and will try to finally make his breakthrough at his fifth Memorial appearance. The South African leads PGA Tour in Strokes Gained: Putting which is a solid advantage for a course like Muirfield Village.
Wildcard
Alex Noren

Alex Noren didn't impress much since he started to play mainly on the PGA Tour. The Swede plays solid, he has missed only two cuts in his last 11 starts. The problem with Noren is that he can't post four good rounds in a row. We often see him in the mix during the first rounds, but he can't keep the momentum during the weekend and drops down on the leaderboard. Noren has the games, all he needs is to keep his concentration for four days and he will win his first PGA Tour title.
