Put the best golfers in the world on a links golf course, add some wind and enjoy the show. That's exactly what I expect from the 149th Open which stars tomorrow at Royal St George's Golf Club. But the best part of this to watch a golf major is that there are plenty of options for gambling and making some extra cash. Here are my favorite bets for the 149th Open:
Dustin Johnson to make the cut - "No", odds: 4.50

Dustin Johnson returned to the top spot in the World Golf Rankings without playing last week. Johnson's last appearance on the PGA Tour was at the Travelers Championship where he finished tied for 25th. The American has been struggling recently and this is obvious if you take a look at his results. DJ has only one top 10 in his last ten tournaments and missed the cut at the Masters and the PGA Championship.
Louis Oosthuizen to finish inside the top 20, odds: 2.25

Louis Oosthuizen is one of the most consistent golfers on the planet and one who knows how to show his best game in the big tournaments. The South African posted four top 20 finishes in his last five tournaments. Two of these are runner-up finishes at the PGA Championship and the U.S Open. Won The Open by seven strokes over Lee Westwood in 2010 and tied for second in 2015 after a playoff with Marc Leishman and Zack Johnson.
Top Former Winner - Jordan Spieth, odds: 3.60

The 2017 Open champion is back to his best form and has a great season so far. Spieth hasn't missed a cut since the Farmers Insurance Open at the end of January. Spieth has a win and four other top 10s' in his last eight starts.
Score Cut Made At - 143 & under, odds: 2.70

143 - 150 - 143 this was the cut score in each of the last three Opens which were played at Royal St George's Golf Club. The weather forecast for this week's tournament looks very friendly and we shouldn't expect any extreme challenging conditions for the players. The first two rounds are expected to be played in warm weather with sunny sky and little-to-no threat of rain.
