1. The first edition of the tournament was played back in 1999 under the name WGC-NEC Invitational.
2. Only three European golfers have won the title at WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational and all three of them are Irish. Darren Clarke claimed the title in 2003, Rory McIlroy did it in 2014. In the next year Shane Lowry followed the steps of his good friend McIlroy and won at Firestone CC.

3. Only two players have won the tournament more than once. Justin Thomas did it twice, while Tiger Woods has 8! titles from WGC Invitational.

4. Three courses have been home of the tournament - Firestone CC, Sahalee CC and this week's TPC Southwind in Tennessee.
5. Only twice the winner in the tournament was decided after a playoff and, in both cases, the winner is Tiger Woods.
