In 2009 Lucas Glover surprised the golfing world after winning the U.S Open at the Bethpage Black Course. Glover is a three-time PGA Tour winner, but he hasn't won since May 2011. Since his win in 2009 Glover has made the cut only three times at his national open and his record is far from impressive.

Luke Donald is a former world number one who is far from his best form. The Englishman, who has won five times on the PGA Tour and seven times on the European Tour, seeking his 15th U.S Open appearance. His best result in the tournament is a shared eight place in 2013.
Keegan Bradley

Another major winner whose exemption has expired and have to secure his U.S Open 2021 place the hard way. Bradley is a four-time PGA Tour winner who became famous in 2011 when won the PGA Championship in his majors' debut.
J.B. Holmes

J.B. Holmes is only 39 old, but it feels like he has been on the PGA Tour forever. He has five PGA Tour wins and has represented USA in two Ryder Cups, but different injuries through the years didn't allow him to be a constant factor on the PGA Tour.
Jason Dufner

Jason Dufner won the 2013 PGA Championship and four more times on the PGA Tour, but has never been considered as a PGA Tour big star. The American, who played at the 2012 Ryder Cup, hasn't record a top 10 since June 2019.
Padraig Harrington

It seemed like Harrington's best playing days are gone as he is now more concentrated on his Ryder Cup captaincy than his playing career, but he surprised us at the PGA Championship where finished tied for fourth. The three-time major winner has five top 10s from 16 appearances at the U.S Open.
Charl Schwartzel

Charl Schwartzel was one of the most promising South African golfers but a serious wrist injury kept him off the course for several months. Schwartzel won the 2011 Masters after he birdied the last four holes at Augusta National on Sunday. The South African has won twice on the PGA Tour and eleven times on the European Tour. He has two top 10s from 12 appearances at the U.S Open.

The 2015 Players Championship winner, who has won five times in total on the PGA Tour, will tee off at Lakes Golf & CC for a spot at what will be 11th consecutive U.S Open appearance. His best result in the tournament was in 2014 when he finished tied for second.
